Executive Director and Board Member Minimize
Hector Colon joined HPGM with a strong background in leadership, nonprofit administration, program development and business management. His highly diversified career portfolio includes work with organizations serving the needs of many different constituencies, to include the private sector. Most recently, he served as Executive Assistant to the Department of Regulation and Licensing for the State of Wisconsin, an agency that services the needs of over 350,000 professionals statewide.

Colon was the Executive and Legislative Liaison for the Department of Workforce Development, Director of Economic Development for WHEDA and Senior Legislative Fiscal Manager for the City of Milwaukee. Additionally, Colon served as Associate Executive Director for the United Community Center.

Colon received his Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science degrees in Occupational Therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He also earned certificates in Management and Leadership from both UW-Kentucky and Marquette University, as well as a certificate in Commercial Real Estate from UW-Madison.

Colon has been an active member of the community and has received several leadership awards, including Hispanic Director of the Year by the Spanish Times, 40 under 40 by the Milwaukee Business Journal, 35 under 35 by the Milwaukee Magazine and the Alumni of the Decade from UW-Milwaukee.

Hector is married to Solmaria Colon. His children are Angeliz Maria (7) and Elian Manuel Colon (5).
