Maricruz Talavera-Pettis is the Treasurer of the Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee and serves on the Finance, Personnel and Giving Campaign Committee. Ms. Talavera-Pettis has a B.S. in Business with a specialization in Accounting and a Minor in computer studies from Alverno College and a M.S. in Finance and Accounting from Keller Graduate School (DeVry). She is the Director of Finance and Compliance of Rosalie Manor Community & Family Services. Rosalie Manor was founded by the Misericordia Sisters in 1908 as a refuge for unwed pregnant women, Rosalie Manor is recognized as a local leader in the fields of pregnancy prevention and the promotion of positive parenting and healthy marriages. Under the sponsorship of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, and in close association with area schools, churches and neighborhoods, the organization is successfully addressing a number of critical family issues in our community, true to its mission: Strengthening Milwaukee families by empowering parents to be nurturing and by guiding youth toward positive futures. Prior to joining Rosalie Manor, she was the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the Council for the Spanish Speaking, Inc. and prior to that was the Financial Manager for St. Charles Youth and Family Services. Maricruz has 19 years of non-profit finance experience. Ms. Talavera-Pettis also serves on the Alverno Alumnae Board and the Treasurer of the Woodlands of Franklin HOA Board and in the past was a volunteer mom for the Girls Scouts of America. She also has a home-based Avon business. She can be found in the “Latinos in Milwaukee” 2006 Arcadia Publication. She was born and raised in Milwaukee and now resides in Franklin, Wisconsin. She has two children, Andres and Alejandra. |
