Building productive networks has multiple professional benefits – from building a client base to establishing a more collaborative work environment. During this three-part, practical seminar, you will learn how to maximize networking opportunities from an orientation of Latino culture, service and authenticity. Participants will practice and apply successful networking strategies during the corresponding Noche de Pachanga event.

Seminar Overview: Gain a new perspective on networking and practice your skills in this 3-session seminar led by master networkers Gil Llanas, Past President of the HPGM Board, and Dr. Jeanette Mitchell, founder and program director for the Cardinal Stritch University Leadership Center. In this seminar you will learn:

• How to set goals for networking success
• How to make meaningful connections, beyond the business card
• How to give as well as get in your networking conversations
• Practice your skills at the fun and festive Noche de Pachanga
• Learn from the experiences of others in the seminar

Gil Llanas is the Past President of the Board of HPGM, and Co-Chair of the Milwaukee Area Workforce Development Funders Alliance.  He is the the former Director of Community Relations at Northwestern Mutual. He served as the Community Affairs Manager at Miller Brewing Company and has held teaching positions at the School of Business, Milwaukee Area Technical College and Gateway Technical College (Racine).



Dr. Jeanette Mitchell is the founder of the Cardinal Stritch Leadership Center and currently serves at the Program Director for the Leaders of Color practice area.  She has had a wide-ranging career as the Education Program Officer for the Helen Bader Foundation, former head of the Milwauke Public School Board and a 30-year career executive with AT&T. Known for her creativity and leadership, Dr. Mitchell has helped to establish the Latino Non-Profit Leadership Program and Rotary Amigos.
